Here is Davida's message:
Greetings friends and neighbors
We had a lovely practice group before last winter, and keeping it small seems to work best.
We're starting over this year into next with a new practice group and format, a shorter, 9-week course.
You may be familiar, new or practiced in the ways of "Non-Violent Communication", or compassionate communication. It is a way of communicating with ourselves and with each other which works through compassion, shifting us (with practice) from the old ingrained criticism/'shame/blame/judgement/should patterns of thinking and speech, better meeting our truest needs in life.
It is a system being used in interpersonal relationships from personal partnerships to family, from business to mediation between nations.
I've been studying this past year and 1/4 (and continuing) with NYNVC Co-ordinator Thom Bond.
When we have a core group minimum (we're going only up to 8 max), we will announce a definite time/place start date. As a starter, I'm suggesting sunday evenings, here at my home in Woodland Valley, skipping holidays, starting the last Sunday of September.
Study Books:
· Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life, by Marshall B. Rosenberg, Ph.D.

The '64 days training' is a 9-week training course which meets once a week. It's been put together by Thom Bond, a student and friend of Marshall Rosenberg, the Author of Non-Violent Communication. This course is for anyone who is willing to make a personal commitment to learn the principles and concepts of NVC and begin to incorporate them into daily life.
Whether new, familiar, or practiced, you are invited and welcome!
