Joe DeSarle - Dec 7th - Red Bank NJ

Singer, songwriter, WCA member and all around nice guy Joe DeSarle wrote to me recently about an exciting gig he is going to be part of in NJ. Here is what Joe had to say.

"I entered a competition of professional singers to perform at The Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, N.J. I learned last month that I was selected to perform on December 7th at the Sinatra Birthday Bash at the Count Basie theatre with their 17 piece jazz orchestra."

Here are the details:

The 6th Annual Sinatra Birthday Bash

On Sale to The Public Friday 9/28 at Noon
Friday, December 07, 2012, 8:00 PM
Presented by: Count Basie Theatre,  99 Monmouth Street  Red Bank, New Jersey 07701    (732) 224-8778
An annual tribute to Frank Sinatra on his birthday weekend (this year would have been his 97th), the Sinatra Birthday Bash stars a selection of NY & NJ’s finest working saloon singers, selected by audition and backed by the Red Bank Jazz Orchestra, a 17-piece professional Big Band under the Musical Direction of Joe Muccioli, who Jazzwise Magazine says works with “a maximum of authenticity.” Singing the great songs associated with Sinatra’s career, the Birthday Bash is not a costume and wig show, but a sincere, respectful tribute to one of NJ’s favorite sons, starring this year: James Anthony (Falls Church), Rebecca Orsatti (Atlantic City), Nancy Nelson (Bernardsville), Kelly Ross (Red Bank), Daniel Pugliese (Westfield), Tony Corrao (Marlboro), Joe Minnella (Tinton Falls), Bob Tuzzo (Middletown), Joe DeSarle (Staten Island) , Elya Vasiliev (Morganville).
