The last few days have been gorgeous here in the valley. Yesterday was the first day that it really felt like summer to me. And there was much fun to be had in and around the valley. First, there was the annual Memorial Day Parade in Phoenicia. I love the parades in Phoenicia! Never mind that they always seems to start 45 minutes late and last about 10 minutes. The real fun is seeing all the folks you know in town and chatting them up while you wait for the start of the festivities. The parade this year was no different. I had a wonderful time seeing many, many valley residents out and about.
After the parade it was off back up into the valley for the Woodland Valley Trout Fund's semi-annual fish stocking. I had big fun there too putting the small trout into the stream and visiting with the fishy folk. The piscatorial grand poo-bah, Mike O'Neil, once again did a bang up job keeping the troops moving and focused. The after-party was hosted by Hawley Botchford and was a lovely gathering too!
So yesterday was a wonderful day all around in this neck of the woods!
