Yesterday was the first of two WCA plant walks guided by Violet Snow. You may all remember Violet for her naturalist column in the Phoenicia Times. She is extraordinarily knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of our area. The group toured the Botchford/Gillespie property which, with it's beautiful views, is a special treat all by itself. They had a great time learning about what is growing right in our own backyards.
