The Fireman's Parade last Saturday afternoon was great fun. It was much longer than the normal Phoenicia parade. Since it was raining (sometimes quite hard) on Saturday morning I was nervous that the marchers would get drowned as they came through town. Mercifully, the rain stopped just before the parade begun and started again just a short while after they finished. I had a great time seeing all the different companies, listening to the marching bands and taking photos. Here are some I thought you might enjoy.
PS - The beginning photos are of the Parrots for Peace and their owner Gloria Waslyn visiting with other town residents. Those birds are gorgeous and lots of fun!
