Marton Ommundsen Passes

It is hard for me to believe that I have to write these words again so soon but longtime WV resident Marton Ommundsen passed away yesterday. He died suddenly at his home here in the valley. The cause at this point is unknown. Marton is survived by his long time partner, Nancy Heagle (Nancy owned and operated "The Birds Nest" store in Phoenicia for many years) and many, many friends.

I will always think of Marton sitting outside his house alongside WV road by the couple's beautiful garden. Below is a link to his obituary in the Daily Freeman. I will keep you posted on any announcement regarding memorial services.
