WCA Member and Editor/Producer Max Nova recently sent me some links to his latest work on NOWNESS. I went to the website and this is how they described the work they are doing.
"Each day, this award-winning online platform showcases an exclusive premiere of the most inspiring stories influencing contemporary arts and global lifestyle, previewing the latest in fashion, art, film, music, architecture and design, travel, sport, and gastronomy."
so here is Max's message and the links:
"Big news from Nowness today, where my latest collaboration with Matt Black went live today as an unprecedented same-day two-parter: Inside Rebel, an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at James Franco's all-star Rebel art show.
Inspired by the mythology surrounding Nicholas Ray's pioneering 1955 film Rebel Without a Cause, the show at LA's MOCA includes collaborations with with a stellar cast of leading contemporary artists, including Paul & Damon McCarthy, Aaron Young, Harmony Korine, Ed Ruscha, Terry Richardson and Douglas Gordon.
We've also got several more projects coming up on Nowness in June and July – stay tuned!"
Max also sent me another link to a video piece last Sunday. I am sorry I didn't get this up to coincide with the Mad Men finale but I think the piece is still great.
"As an attitudinal primer for Sunday's Mad Men season finale, I'd like to share with you the latest installment of our Reflections series for Nowness, profiling the LA art world's very own mad man, Aaron Young."
Matt sums it up best: "There is a great energy and attitude to his art. It's a pure exploration of America and masculinity– minimalism on steroids."
Check out all the videos when you have a chance. They are very informative and interesting.
