I got this message the other day from Linda McDonald.
"Thought you'd like to see this! I took this back in the late 1980's. This is one of 2 BLOND raccoons that were in the Woodland Valley Park area a year or two before the rabies epidemic, that started in 1990. We were all surprised to see them at the time. We believed the two that we did see here (sometimes together) were from the same litter, which also included normal colored babies."

I Googled 'blond Racoons' and apparently they are a normal, although rare, variation of raccoon coloring. I never knew they existed. Thanks for sending this Linda!!
