St. Francis de Sales Parish will host a Community-wide meeting on Tuesday, August 26, from 10 - 11:30 am in the Parish Hall - Main Street Phoenicia.
Ulster County's Disaster Response Volunteer Workforce Committee meets monthly to bring together local government, religious and civic groups, and non-profit agencies to assess our county's current capacity and needs in the event of a major disaster like Hurricane Irene. The August meeting will bring together representatives from the Red Cross, United Way, UlsterCorps, RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program), and the local Phoenicia Rotary. Please pass the word along to anyone who is interested in sharing ideas and strategies for response and recovery for our area.
