Happy Father's Day!

I posted this last year but it is one of my all time favorite poems written by WCA member Mike O'Neil aka Boreegard. I think it is definitely worth reading again. Happy Father's Day to all!!

Father’s Day in Retro

What does a son yearn for, after all?
To know his father—that mysterious entity,
Daddy, Papa, Da, Pop,
The bloodline to the past.

Combing through his writing, if there was such,
Recalling his pronouncements,
Gazing at the kodaks for a hint of
Meaning behind the frown or smile.

We delve the unknowable, we sons,
(Daughters, take your own matters in hand),
And while you may think you have a clue,
Sonny Boy, you don’t.
